  • If you’re arriving by air and then train, make sure the available connections work with your flight times, especially in the cold winter months
  • Cross-border journeys to France or Spain are easy as there’s little or no hassle at border crossings
  • Electricity is 230V, 50Hz, so visitors from the US will need to use a converter
