Guam enjoys a tropical marine climate so it stays humid and warm throughout the year with temperatures moderated by the northeast trade winds. Dry season is from January to June, while rainy season is from July to December. Temperatures hardly change with the seasons. Large typhoons are rare, with one arriving only once every eight years, usually between October and November. The most recent destructive storm occurred in 2002. The daily weather averages between 72°F and 86°F with temperatures that rarely ever dip below 70°F or reach above 90°F.

Best Time to Visit Guam

Dry season is the best time to visit Guam, which means anytime from January until late April or early May. Wear lightweight or casual clothing and bring a rain coat or an umbrella when visiting during the rainy season. Tourist centers like Tumon Bay are packed with visitors during the dry season so hotel and car rental rates will be higher. However, if you want to enjoy water sports, wreck diving and sightseeing outdoors, the extra expense is worth it.
