Honolulu International Airport (Hawaii)

Honolulu International Airport is the main air gateway to Hawaii. As a major vacation destination, this airport handles a range of domestic US flights, as well as flights from Asia, in particular Japan. The airport is located just west of the city center of Honolulu. Most large hotels have offer courtesy shuttle buses that provide transfers for guests. Taxis are also affordable and readily available. Another cheaper option is to use the private bus services from the airport, which heads to the main hotels and points of interest in Honolulu. Self-driving is also an option, with plenty of car rental companies represented at the airport.

Nadi International Airport (Fiji)

The main international airport in Fiji is the Nadi International Airport. Located just five miles from the city of Nadi, this airport is the main hub for Air Pacific. The majority of North American travelers have to fly via Australia or New Zealand to reach Fiji, although Air Pacific does offer direct seasonal flights from Los Angeles. Most hotels arrange airport pick-ups for guests. Otherwise passengers can use a taxi to get to their hotel.

Tahiti-Faa’a International Airport (French Polynesia)

Most international travelers arrive in French Polynesia via the main international airport on Tahiti. The airport is located in the island’s northwestern part, roughly seven miles from the capital of Papeete. North American visitors can use Air France, Hawaiian Airlines, Air Tahiti Nui, and Air New Zealand to get to Tahiti; there are direct links from Los Angeles, New York, and Honolulu. However, some connections are seasonal. Most hotels will arrange airport pick-ups for their guests. Other transportation options include taxis and buses, with taxis being the most convenient.
