Kotoka International Airport

All international flights to Ghana operate through Kotoka Airport. It is conveniently located near the city center, allowing for easy transfers. The airport receives international traffic from a wide range of worldwide hubs and is served by a large selection of carriers. Domestic flights are available to cities like Tamale and Kumasi via Africa World Airlines. Delta Air Lines offers direct flights to New York and Monrovia, while service to European and African cities are also available on Iberia, Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, Air Namibia, Kenya Airways, Lufthansa, Royal Air Maroc, and many others.

The airport has two terminals, the first of which caters to regional and domestic operators, and the second for long-haul and international operators. An internal walkway connects both and good facilities are on hand to ensure passenger comfort. There are a number of restaurants and shops in both terminals. Terminal 2 has duty-free outlets and business class lounges. There are banks and ATMs throughout.

Located only six miles from downtown, transportation options range from reliable taxis to buses. Large hotels often provide complimentary shuttle services for their guests.
