Burlington International Airport

The only commercial airport in Vermont is located just outside its largest city, Burlington. Each year, around 600,000 people fly into Burlington from a handful of regional destinations. Delta, JetBlue, United Express, and US Airways Express are the only carriers operating regular flights to the airport. There is only seasonal international service to Toronto via Porter Airlines. The main domestic destination is New York, followed by Philadelphia, Chicago, Newark, Detroit, and Washington, DC.

The single terminal is well laid out and pleasant to travel through. Dining options are limited to the snack bar on the first level and the sit-down restaurant on the second level. All the shopping is contained within the comprehensive Hudson News Gift Shop, which sells everything from reading materials to gifts and travel sundries.

Parking is handled within a new multi-level covered garage. Short- and long-term parking rates are available. Eight major car rental companies have offices at the airport, including Budget, Enterprise, and Dollar. Their kiosks are located just outside of Baggage Claim. Several taxi companies are present at the terminal, offering transport using a meter or fares based on distance traveled. Limousine firms are another option at the airport, which is located right off Interstate 89 for easy driving to Burlington and destinations all around Lake Champlain.
