As the second smallest state in America, Delaware holds many secrets that most travelers bypass without a thought. Summers at Rehoboth Beach or Lewes are perfect whether you’re a family, single, or couple looking for romance. Head inland and national parks like Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge offer quality face time with Delaware’s plants, birds, and animals. Delaware’s 25 miles of coastline and five beach towns are major highlights of the state. They are just as popular with residents on summer holiday as they are with visitors from out of town. Between the Atlantic Ocean and Delaware Bay there is amazing fishing in the state. From late March all the way through November, there sea fish abound. Bay and ocean fishing outings are popular in the coastal towns like Lewes and Cape Henlopen. The golfing in Delaware is sublime thanks to its gentle, rolling hills and scenic coastline. Between the two environments are a number of excellent golf courses that challenge as much as inspire. Rock Manor Golf Course even has a golf academy to help you hone your skills.
Any fan of motor sports or NASCAR racing, in particular, will know the name Dover, Delaware. This is the home of the Dover International Speedway, which hosts two major stock car races every year that draw hordes of racing fans to its stands that can hold up to 140,000 spectators.
