Gnassingbé Eyadéma International Airport

Also known by its former name of Lome-Tonkin, this is the busiest airport in Togo, seeing around 250,000 annual passengers. There are currently no direct flights to US or Canadian destinations. Americans have to connect in Europe or a nearby African destination. There are currently two direct flights to European destinations (Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Brussels), which are served by Air France and Brussels Airlines. There are infrequent flights to other domestic airports in Togo, but since the country is fairly small and has a developed ground transportation network, bus and taxi are preferred for travelling around the country.

There are a couple of places to eat and drink, and you will find the usual duty-free store if traveling to international destinations. Taxis are available for traveling between the airport and downtown Lome, a journey of about 15 minutes.
