Will Rogers World Airport

Oklahoma’s leading airport is located six miles from the downtown of Oklahoma City. More than 3.5 million passengers use the airport every year, which offers 75 flights per day that include non-stop service to 22 different airports in the US. American, Delta, Frontier, Southwest, and United are the airlines operating regularly scheduled flights to Oklahoma City. The busiest route is to Dallas, followed by Denver, Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, Las Vegas, and Phoenix. There is no direct international service from Will Rogers World Airport.

The terminal has 17 gates and a layout that is easy to navigate. The Central Concourse Food Court is where most of the eateries are concentrated, including sit-down and fast food options. The terminal also has a couple of bars, coffee shops, and a number of retailers selling gifts, travel sundries, and reading material. ATMs are located on both sides of security and several private meeting rooms can be booked for a small fee. The airport also provides 20 minutes of free Wi-Fi internet service for its guests.

Ground transportation is handled by taxis, limos, and shared shuttle vans that meet every arriving flight. The Metro Transit Bus Service runs to the terminal Monday to Friday, though many passengers prefer to rent their own vehicle from one of the eight major car rental chains located next to Baggage Claim such as Avis, Hertz, and Enterprise. The airport is located right off of Interstate 44 and Interstate 240 for easy driving throughout the region.

Tulsa International Airport

Oklahoma’s other major airport is located five miles north of Tulsa. Around 2.5 million passengers fly into Tulsa’s airport every year from a handful of domestic cities. American, Delta, Southwest, and United are the only carriers with regular service to Tulsa. The busiest route runs to Dallas/Fort Worth, followed by Denver, Houston, Chicago, Atlanta, Phoenix, and St Louis. Seasonal flights to Miami and Atlanta add to the schedule.

The entire terminal is covered by free Wi-Fi internet service, and all the usual airport passenger amenities such as dining, beverages, reading material, and gift shops are on hand. Extra services include ATMs, banking facilities, shoe shines, a flower shop, and business centers. Transportation is provided by taxis, shuttle vans, or rental cars from several major chains like Avis and Budget. The airport is located right off of Interstate 44 for quick access into Tulsa and the surrounding region.
