Main Airports

Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International (CVG) (website: www.cvgairport.com) is in Northern Kentucky, 20km (12 miles) from Cincinnati, Ohio. To/from the airport: Buses, shuttles and taxis are available to Cincinnati. Facilities: ATMs, car hire and Internet access.

Louisville International (SDF) (website: www.louintlairport.com) is situated 8km (5 miles) south of the city. To/from the airport: Buses, taxis, shuttles and limousines provide transportation to the city center. Facilities: ATMs, car hire, and Internet access.

Getting There By Rail

There is a daily Amtrak (tel: 1 800 872 7245, in the USA only; website: www.amtrak.com) service between Chicago and New Orleans, which stops at Fulton. Three trains a week run between New York Union Station and Chicago, serving Ashland, South Portsmouth and Mayville. There is no service to Louisville, although Amtrak Thruway buses connect daily with Chicago.

Approximate bus journey times:
From Louisville to Cincinnati is 2 hours, to Nashville is three hours and to Chicago is 6 hours. From Lexington to Cincinnati is 1 hour and to Knoxville is 3 hours.
