Norway — Visas and Vaccinations
No visa is required for travel to Norway for visitors from the US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, and EU member states. On arrival, you will be granted an automatic stay of up to 90 days as long as your passport is valid for six months post trips. Also, always check that you have enough blank pages in your passport to receive the necessary entry and exit stamps.
Health and Safety
Norway is an extremely docile country with excellent healthcare facilities. It is worth traveling with medical insurance if your country does not have a bilateral healthcare agreement, as treatment can be expensive. All citizens of EU countries simply need to obtain a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) which entitles them to the same healthcare as Norwegian nationals. If you are charged for medical treatment you can attempt to recoup any fees paid from your home country if you are eligible. Routine vaccines are recommended for travel to Norway, which include hepatitis A and B, rabies and tetanus.
Norway is very safe with low crime rates and it's highly unlikely you will feel uncomfortable at any point during your stay. This being said, it always pays to be mindful of your belongings and to be aware of your surroundings, especially if traveling alone or at night.
