Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport

Anguilla is served by Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport near The Valley. It is a small, publicly-owned, government-operated air hub served by Cape Air, Anguilla Air Express and LIAT with destinations including San Juan, PR, Antigua and Saint Thomas. A handful of charter airlines also flies to this airport from Montserrat, Saint Barthelemy, Antigua, Saint Martin, Fort-de-France, and many other cities in the Caribbean. Metered taxis and car rental are the main form of transportation from the airport to the resorts.

Bermuda International Airport

Bermuda International is the official gateway to the island from the United States with frequent flights from Newark, Philadelphia, Washington, New York, and Atlanta. The airport is located in St. George’s Parish near the capital and Castle Harbor. If you book an all inclusive package, transportation should be taken care of, while independent travelers can make use of local buses (no luggage allowed) or expensive, fixed rate taxis. Car rental isn’t available directly at the airport.

Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport

This airport serves the British Virgin Islands and offers flights to all the other islands. Formerly known as Beef Island Airport because of its location, it is a gateway to the city of Tortola, which is linked via the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge. Scheduled flights are offered by six airlines. American Eagle flies to San Juan, Air Sunshine to Saint Thomas, and BVI Airways to Sint Maarten and Antigua. Charter flights are also available to Santo Domingo, Saint Lucia, Anguilla, Saint Barthelemy, and Montserrat. Car rental and fixed-price taxis are available for transportation.

Owen Roberts International Airport

Grand Cayman is the international gateway to the Cayman Islands and is an important hub for Cayman Airways. This airport is also known as the last Caribbean international airport with an open-air waving gallery for passengers. Scheduled flights are available to Washington-Dulles, Newark and Houston-Intercontinental via United Airlines, Charlotte via US Airways and Miami via American Airlines. Cayman Airways also has seasonal flights to Washington-Dulles, Dallas/Fort Worth, and Chicago O’Hare. The short trip to George Town can be made by fixed-rate taxis or car rental.

RAF Mount Pleasant

Located west of the capital, this airport serves as the main air hub for international flights into the Falklands. It functions as a military and a public airport, being owned by the Ministry of Defence and operated by the Royal Air Force. There are scheduled flights by Hi Fly and LAN Airlines to Brize Norton, Santiago, Rio Gallegos, and Punta Arenas. Shuttles meet all arrivals to transport passengers into Stanley or taxis can be pre-booked.

Gibraltar International Airport

Daily scheduled flights are available to and from London-Luton, London-Gatwick, London-Heathrow, and Manchester airports in mainland UK. Also known as North Front Airport, this civilian hub handles more than 314,000 passengers each year and is an alternative gateway to the Costa del Sol in Spain and Campo de Gibraltar. Local buses and taxis are available at the airport.

John A. Osborne Airport

This is a small public airport in Montserrat near the village of Gerald’s. FlyMontserrat is based here and offers trips to Antigua. Winair and SVG Air also serve the airport, while charter flights are available on Trans Anguilla Airways, SVG Air, FlyMontserrat, and Caribbean Helicopters. Car rental, taxis and minibuses take passengers from the airport to destinations around the island.

Providenciales International Airport

This is the international gateway into Turks and Caicos, which is situated on Providenciales Island. US Airways and United Airlines fly to and from Newark and Charlotte, while American Airlines has services to Miami, Dallas/Fort Worth and Boston. Taxis and rental cars are on hand at the airport.
