Western Australia — Shopping and Leisure
The state of Western Australia is not renowned for its shopping, but there are still plenty of places for retail therapy around Perth. Within the capital and in other towns, store hours tend to run from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m., although there are late night department stores and supermarkets open until 9:00 p.m. several days a week.
In the central business district of Perth, travelers will be able to find many high-end brands and world-renowned fashion retailers. There is also a large concentration of cafés and restaurants to rejuvenate with a meal or beverage. Outside the city center, Perth also boasts several interesting districts where independent clothing outlets and boutiques can be found, including Northbridge, Mount Lawley, Leederville, and Subiaco. Some of the largest malls include Lakeside Joondalup, Armadale Shopping City, Centro Galleria Morley, and Warwick Centro.
