Tour Description

Relax on a luxurious cruise to Hawaiian paradise! Begin in bustling Seattle, home to the Space Needle and Pike Place Market, before transferring to Vancouver to embark on Holland America’s ms Zaandam. A wide assortment of activities, entertainment, and amenities await you while cruising - you-re sure to enjoy the life aboard Holland America’s 5-star luxury liner for as you cross the Pacific Ocean. Once you reach Hawaii, cruise the islands, stopping on Hawaii’s Gold Coast in Hilo, exciting Honolulu, Nawiliwili, the old whaling capital of the Pacific, Lahaina, and Kona. After island-hopping aboard the ms Zaandam, relish another few days to pamper yourself as you cruise to Southern California; after bidding farewell to your cruise ship, disembark in San Diego for an overnight in the beautiful coastal city.

Itinerary

Day 1

(Sat, Sept. 24) - Arrive in Seattle, WA and City Tour:

Your adventure begins as you arrive in Seatttle, WA. Tour guests, who have purchased their airline arrangements with YMT Vacations, please meet your YMT representative in baggage claim for meet and greet services and then transfer to your hotel. After settling in, enjoy a City Tour of Seattle at night which includes the waterfront, Pike Place Market, Space Needle and much more.

Day 2

(Sun, Sept. 25) - Scenic drive to Vancouver Board Holland America’s ms Zaandam (4:45PM):

This morning relax and experience a scenic drive to Vancouver. En route to Vancouver, you will pass through Washington’s evergreen forests. View her mighty Cascade Mountains and lush green forests. Then, transfer to Holland America’s ms Zaandam to bid Bon Voyage as you sail from Vancouver Harbor and under Lion’s Gate Bridge to Hawaiian paradise.

Days 3-7

(Mon-Fri, Sept. 26-30) - At Sea:

Sit back and enjoy the next five days and all that Holland America Cruise Lines has to offer. The views are spectacular and so are the onboard activities. Experience the 5-star service, exquisite dining and fabulous Broadway quality entertainment.

Day 8

(Sat, Oct. 1) - Kona, Hawaii (8:00AM - 6:00PM):

In Kona, you can spend your day exploring the “Gold Coast” in a wide array or ways: Ride a horse drawn carriage, skim the seas in a glass-bottom boat, or snorkel below the waves. If you prefer to keep your feet on dry land, you may choose to take a leisurely walking tour through historic Kailua Village or one of the many island coffee plantations. There are many choices in always sunny Kona.

Days 9 - 10

(Sun - Mon, Oct. 2 - 3) - Honolulu, Oahu (8:00AM Sunday - 11:00PM Monday):

Enjoy two days in the “sheltered bay” of Honolulu by relaxing along the beach or exploring the many sights the city has to offer. Optional shore excursions are available including Punchbowl Crater, Diamondhead, statue of King Kamehameha, Kawaiahao Church, International Market Place and of course Pearl Harbor.

Day 11

(Tues, Oct. 4) - Nawiliwili, Kauai (8:00AM - 5:00PM):

This verdant little isle exudes peace and tranquility. Nature has been good to Kauai, creating craters, mountains, rivers, canyons and glorious stretches of palm-fringed beaches. Nicknamed the “Garden Island,” Kauai is the least populated and developed of the four main islands.

Day 12

(Wed, Oct. 5) - Lahaina, Maui (8:00AM - 11:00PM):

More spectacular scenery awaits you on the “Valley Island” where the god Maui once held the sun captive in a volcano crater. Shore excursions will be available to visit the Iao Valley, where waterfalls and lush tropical foliage surround the amazing Iao Needle, a rock formation rising 2,000 feet from the valley floor. Lahaina, the picturesque old whaling capital of the Pacific, looks today just as it did at the turn of the century. You will get an insight into the unique blending of New England and the South Seas as they were in the 1800’s. A sightseeing highlight!

Day 13

(Thurs, Oct. 6) - Hilo, Hawaii (8:00AM - 6:00PM):

Brimming with Hawaiian tradition, Hilo takes you back to Hawaiian roots. The town will charm you with its quaint buildings and unique shopping. Hilo is the flower capital of Hawaii where gardens blossom everywhere. Shore excursions will be available to take you through lush tropical forests to Volcanoes National Park, where you’ll have the rare opportunity to see Hawaii’s natural beauty at its best.

Days 14 - 18

(Fri - Tues, Oct. 7-11) - At Sea:

Enjoy another five days of relaxation and the pleasures of life at sea as we cruise towards San Diego. Bask in pampered luxury and experience all that ms Zaandam has to offer. Indulge yourself with a spa treatment or just site back and relax; the views are spectacular and so are the onboard activities.

Day 19

(Wed, Oct. 12) - Arrive in San Diego, CA (7:00AM):

Return to San Diego, a beautiful California coastal city. Enjoy a city tour of San Diego before returning to your hotel.

Day 20

(Thurs, Oct. 13) - Depart for Home:

Today, bid farewell, taking home a suitcase full of memories and stories to share about your YMT cruise tour!
