Depart for Rome, Italy:
Your adventure begins as you depart the USA on your trans-Atlantic flight. Overnight on plane.
Arrive in historic Rome. If you purchased airline tickets from YMT Vacations, you will be welcomed by a YMT representative after clearing customs immigration, and transferred to your hotel. (If you made your own flight arrangements, please make your own way to the hotel.) The rest of the day is yours to enjoy this eternal city.
Your full-day sightseeing tour includes the highlights - Explore the Roman Forum and the Colosseum, the largest amphitheater ever built in the Roman Empire, the Piazza Republica Piazza Venezia, Trevi Fountain and the renowned Spanish Steps. Next, enjoy a guided tour of the Vatican, including the Vatican Museum, which houses some of the most important and valuable art treasures in the world. Visit the Sistine Chapel to view the floor-to-ceiling Biblical frescoes painted by Michelangelo, and St. Peter’s Basilica. (B)
Rome to Orvieto Montecatini:
We depart the Italian capital and head into the picturesque Umbrian countryside. We stop and take the funicular up to the ancient city of Orvieto where you will have free time to explore the rich history of this charming village. We then continue onto to Tuscany, and the resort spa town of Montecatini. (B)
Today’s full day excursion stops in Pisa, to see the iconic 800-year old Leaning Tower, before reaching the captivating city of Florence, with a panoramic landscape of incredible architecture and gardens. Our guided sightseeing tour of this Renaissance capital visits its Duomo cathedral with the Brunelleschi cupola and the marble clad baptistery. Explore the Baptistery, the Piazza della Signori, the Ponte Vecchio, and the Accademia Gallery, home of Michelangelo’s David. We return to our hotel by late afternoon. (B)
Verona to Venice:
Travel through the lush Italian landscape as we drive to Verona. A city best know as the setting for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, it also offers wonderful examples of Medieval and Renaissance art and architecture. See the Cuomo, Piazza delle Erbe with the famous Torre dei Lamberti (high tower), and of course the house of Juliet, with its famous balcony. We continue towards the Adriatic Sea and Venice. (B)
Board the MSC Magnifica (4:00 PM):
This morning be prepared to be pampered as we board your opulent cruise ship, your home for the next 9 nights. Embark on a 10-day cruise journey that takes you through the Adriatic, Ionian, and Mediterranean Seas. (B,D)
Your Cruise Ship: The MSC Magnifica is a luxurious 2500-passenger ship with more than 1000 crew. Bari, Italy (9:00AM - 11:00PM):
This morning relax and discover the many facilities aboard the ship. This afternoon visit Bari, capital of Puglia, situated in the heel of Italy’s boot. This is lively a university town with a rich past - The Byzantine, Norman, Arabic, Angevin and Pisan cultures are reflected in the city’s wonderful architecture. Perhaps take a tour to Matera or the Caves of Castellana.

Rhodes/Lindos, Greece (7:00AM - 1:00PM):
The island of Rhodes or Rodos, and its ancient walled capital of the same name is steeped in history. The harbor at Rhodes Town is said to have been home to the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the seven Ancient Wonders of the World. Over 4,500 years of Minoan, Greek, Roman, Persian, Arab, Turkish and Italian cultures blend in Rhodes to create a fascinating mix of history and art as well as fun, fine cuisine and stunning landscapes. Full day optional tours are available.
Days 11 & 12
Haifa, Israel (1:00PM Day 11 - 8:00PM Day 12):
Israel’s biggest and busiest port, this resort-feeling city sprawls over the steep, lush face of Mount Carmel, with a waterfront of wide, sandy beaches. Haifa is a multicultural community, with six faiths living side by side, including the Baha’i faith. A must see is the Baha’i gold-domed Shrine of the Bab, with its immaculate terraced gardens that cascade down the cliff face. Optional Shore Excursions to Jerusalem, Nazareth or other ancient sites are available.
Relax on board your luxury cruise home. Take advantage of the Spa for a relaxing massage, lounge in the swimming pools, or see a show at the onboard theater. There are so many things to enjoy on your day at sea.
Piraeus/Athens, Greece (7:30AM - 2:00PM):
Piraeus has been the Port of Athens for more than 2500 years, feeding the capital city with ships filled with traders, goods, pilgrims, and now, tourists. Athens is dominated by the flat-topped hill of the Acropolis site of the Parthenon, one of the most famous classical monuments in the world. Historic sites is a must to see; choose from the Acropolis, Parthenon and archaeological museum or admire the views and ancient temples in old Cape Sounion. Or have the day at leisure to explore on your own.

Disembark Venice Italy (9:00AM):
This morning disembark, and enjoy a sightseeing tour of this amazing city built on a lagoon. Watch skilled glass blowers fashion their delicate objects in their age-old traditional manner.
