Itinerary
DAY 1
Cairo, Egypt
On arrival you will be met at the airport and taken to your luxury accommodations with a pyramid-view room.

DAY 2
Aswan
Your local guide will escort you to the world-renowned Egyptian Museum, which includes the remarkable Tutankhamen collection and the Mummies Room. Also on your morning tour of Cairo will be the Citadel, one of the world’s greatest monuments to medieval warfare, and the beautiful Mohammed Ali Mosque, known as the Alabaster Mosque because of the extensive use of alabaster throughout its interiors. Fly to Aswan where you will be met and transferred to your hotel.(B, L)

DAYS 3 - 5
Abu Simbel Nile Cruise
Fly from Aswan to see the remarkable Egyptian monuments at Abu Simbel. Enjoy a felucca cruise to visit Lord Kitchener’s beautiful Botanical Garden. That afternoon board the beautiful Sonesta St. George I and settle into your accommodations, a Presidential Suite. Sail to Kom Ombo; Edfu, with a visit to the Temple of Horus, considered the best preserved cult temple in Egypt; then to Esna, with its remains of an ancient temple dedicated to the Egyptian god, Khnum. Visit the sprawling Temple of Karnak, the largest temple complex ever built by man, and the magnificent Luxor Temple.(3B, 3L, 3D)
Sonesta St. George I
DAYS 6 - 8
Luxor, Cairo Depart for Home
After breakfast aboard the ship, disembark from the Sonesta St. George I and visit the celebrated ancient sites near Luxor. Highlights include the Valley of the Kings and Queens and the tomb of “King Tut.” Visit the Pyramids with their funeral chambers; the iconic Sphinx; the Solar Boat Museum; and the ancient city of Memphis with Sakkara, site of the Step Pyramid. On Day 8 you will be taken to the airport for your flight home or on to your next destination.(3B, L)
