Some people like to boast about size. Bigger that is. Mill Ends Park in Portland has a different claim to fame. The smallest park in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records, the entire circumference reaches just 2 feet across and 452 square inches wide. Fabled to be the site of a leprechaun’s hole, the small urban circle has featured many unusual items through the decades, including a swimming pool for butterflies — complete with diving board, of course, and a miniature Ferris wheel delivered by a full size crane. Surprise and delight, right?
