Frolicking through strawberry fields in early summer may sound like something out of a fairy tale, and, in a way, it is. For locals and visitors in Virginia Beach each year, it's just one of the many ways to embrace the outdoors. Open April and May, local landmark Cullipher Farms opens its berry patch for pickers of all ages. Buckets in various sizes, ranging from quarts to gallons, can be purchased at the entrance, and from there you're ready to pick out the finest in the patch. Don't worry, we won't tell if you eat a few along the way!
