Borjomi

Certain regions in Georgia are rich in mineral springs and mud baths, great for a therapeutic dip or just plain relaxation. The most famous town for spa tours is Borjomi, located about 90 miles from the capital city of Tbilisi. Caucasus Mountains

The highest peak here stands at 16,627 ft (Mount Shkora), followed by the Mkinvartsvei (ice top) Mount Kazbegi, which reaches 16,512 ft. Mtskheta

One of the most important World Heritage sites in Georgia, Mtskheta was the center of Christianity in the country until the 12th century. It is home to the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (15th century), which stands on what is said to be the holiest place in the country. Legend has it that the church stands right on the spot where the crucifixion robe of Jesus Christ was dropped to the ground, having been brought here from Jerusalem by a local Jew. It is also said that fragments of the original garment are kept inside the cathedral.
