Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND)

Situated in the capital, St George’s, Maurice Bishop is the only international airport in Grenada. It has direct flights on American and Delta to the New York (JFK) and Miami year-round and in high season, services to Toronto, Canada, London, England and neighboring Caribbean islands. You can connect to Grenada’s smaller regional airport on Carriacou via SVG Airlines with at least one flight daily, sometimes more depending on the time of year. It is recommended to check with the airline beforehand since schedules are subject to change based on popularity.

The airport is relatively small for an international gateway, but there are adequate services to ensure a comfortable trip. There are several places to eat and drink, the usual duty-free stores, and a porter service for a small fee. There is an information desk on the ground floor, which is open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. which matches flight schedules.

Getting to the terminal is easy via taxi or limousine, which can be hailed on arrival or booked through your hotel before departure. The city of St George’s is just six miles from the airport so transfers usually take no more than 20 minutes to Grenada’s capital. There are five rental car agencies at the airport, including Archies Car Rental, which offers a range of vehicles to meet the needs of your travel party.

Lauriston Airport (CRU)

Lauriston serves the island of Carriacou with regional flights to St George’s on Grenada Island. There is at least one flight daily and sometimes as many as three depending on the season. Departure and arrival times vary, but flying time remains only 20 minutes. You will be transported in a comfortable small aircraft provided by SVG, the only airline serving the two islands. Facilities are limited, but due to the swift departures there is no reason to spend much time here. Taxis and rental cars can easily be picked from the terminal building, but for ease of transfer it is best to book in advance.
