Martinique Aimé Césaire International Airport
Aime Cesaire is Martinique’s only airport, serving flights to USA, Canada, Europe, Latin America, and other Caribbean countries. American Airlines fly to Martinique, with a connection in Puerto Rico, a two hour flight. Air Canada flies direct from Montreal. Air France have several flights to France, including Paris.
The airport is used to catering for a high volume of tourists during peak season, and has many services. There are restaurants and bars, souvenir and gift stores, and duty-free stores (note duty-free will not apply for travelers going to EU destinations). There are two hotels located on site at the airport. There are several car rental agencies at the airport, or there are taxis readily available to take you downtown. The airport is seven miles east of Fort-de-France, about a fifteen minute taxi ride. There is no public transport to and from the airport.
