Bear Lake Raspberry Days
Bear Lake Raspberry Days celebrates the harvest with craft booths, a parade, fireworks, and a rodeo. Don’t forget to try a delicious Bear Lake Raspberry milkshake! Experience Idaho’s most famous product at the Idaho Potato Museum in Blackfoot and learn more about the potato than you could ever want to know. The Spud Cellar Gift Shop has almost any potato-oriented gift imaginable, including potato fudge!
Moscow Renaissance Fair
A favorite springtime celebration, the Moscow Renaissance Fair, features a variety of foods, crafts, and musical and artistic performances, with vendors in period attire creating a fanciful ambience. In April, Lewiston holds a month-long Annual Dogwood Festival with art exhibitions, classic cars, microbrew and wine tasting, and concerts. Visit the Historical Museum at St. Gertrude’s and take a self guided tour of the chapel. Attend the Raspberry Festival there in August for arts and crafts, a car show, a quilt display, and of course-raspberry shortcake.
Teton Valley Summer Fest
Sit back and enjoy the sounds of the season at the Teton Valley Summer Festival, a three day event in Teton Valley which features balloon rides, games, a 4th of July parade, rodeo action, bike races, a fiddler’s contest, and a craft and antique fair.
Snake River Canyon Jam
Music resounds in the canyon during June with the Snake River Canyon Jam, when local and visiting musicians perform at Centennial Park on the banks of the Snake River in Twin Falls. Nearby, Hagerman Fossil Days features arts and crafts, food, fun, and music in the city park in May, and you’ll enjoy musical favorites at Blues in the Park in September.
Lavender Festival
Spend a leisurely summer day at the annual Lavender Festival the first weekend in July at the Valley View Lavender Farm. Guests learn about enticing herbs, pick their own bouquets, and enjoy a lavender-oriented meal including lavender roasted chicken, lavender potato salad, and even lavender ice cream.
Idaho International Film Festival
Fall for Boise is a two-month celebration of arts, culture, and community, from September through October. Moviegoers may be attracted to The Flicks, Boise’s independent theater, with a restaurant and patio dining. Lavapalooza
Relive the 1960s and do a good deed at Lavapalooza, a tribute to Woodstock in Lava Hot Springs. Proceeds from the mid-September event benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Shoshone-Bannock Indian Festival
For traditional Indian dances, crafts, and an all-Indian rodeo, come to the annual Shoshone-Bannock Indian Festival, held in August. The Malad Valley Welsh Festival promises food, music, films, heritage games and crafts, plus workshops on Welsh history and culture.
Sun Valley Ice Show
The world-famous Sun Valley Ice Show-Stars On Ice showcases professional ice skaters and former Olympians almost every Saturday night of the summer with truly amazing performances. Couple that with a lavish dinner buffet and you have a great night out on the town.
