Day  1

Arrive Valletta, Malta

Welcome to Malta. You are met on arrival in Valletta, and taken to your hotel. This afternoon enjoy time at leisure to relax or explore this capital city.

Day  2

Valletta & Mdina Sightseeing

Valletta was built by the Knights of St. John in the 16th century as an impregnable fortress. This morning enjoy a tour of this World Heritage city. Visit St. John’s Cathedral, the Order’s own church, the Magisterial Palace, former residence of the Grand Master of the Knights of St. John and current home of the Maltese Parliament. Explore the Auberge de Provence, home to the National Museum of Archaeology with worthy collections of prehistoric pottery, sculptures and ornaments recovered from the megalithic temples found on the island. Visit the Mdina complex and it’s quiet streets amongst magnificent churches and housing a just a few residents. Return to Valletta for an even boat cruise in the Grand Harbour. (B)

Day  3

Gozo Excursion

This morning take a short ferry ride to the nearby island of Gozo. The plush green countryside is spectacular, outlined with a coast of rugged cliffs and beautiful bays. Your sightseeing tour explores the city of Victoria, including the exquisite Basilica of Ta’Pinu, Malta’s national shrine, the seaside resort of Marsalforn and the prehistoric temple complex of Ġgantija, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spend time at Ta’ Mena Estate with a tour of the extensive vineyard and enjoy tastings of local finger foods, oils, cheese and spreads. Enjoy some time on your own before taking the evening ferry back to the Island of Malta. (B)

Valletta Sightseeing & at Leisure

This morning, visit the more than 5,500‐year‐old Megalithic Temples of the Maltese Islands – each a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the Hypogeum, an underground Neolithic temple made during the Copper Age, full of refined graceful pottery and painted walls. See the Tarxien Temples, built in 3000 BC, and with unique refined architecture and art. (B)

Depart Valletta

Today you are taken to the airport for your departing flight home or on to your next destination. (B)
