Mask Dancers on Parade - Cheung Chau

Check out these participants in today's "Flying Colors Parade." Man do they know how to throw a party!

The parade is a major part of the annual Bun Festival held on the island of Cheung Chau. The festival is scheduled to coincide with Buddha's Birthday. Happy Birthday, Oh Wise One!!!

At midnight tonight, teams of contestants will scramble up 5 story tall towers, literally covered with steamed, bean-filled buns. Whoever collects the most buns from the tower walls, wins. What a hoot! My bet is on the "home team."
