Left-Face, Scarecrow!

We pass by this location quite often, but May 5th, on the way home from a kid's birthday party, was the first time I noticed this fellow, and Alex was obliging enough to turn around and park while I got out and took pictures.

Viewed from the front (more shots in my photostream), the ball was mounted onto the pole to perfectly display the scarecrow's two eyes, a nose, and a mouth. Really clever use of the soccer ball's emblems.
