Cal Calling, a handy monthly booklet with listings of exhibitions, retail outlets, bars, restaurants and more, is available from some of the more upmarket hotels, or you can buy it in the West Bengal Tourism Center. Not quite as thorough (but still useful), CityInfo comes out every fortnight, available at major hotels.

Theater
Nandan Complex
Regular dance, music and theater programs are held at Nandan Complex, which includes the Rabindra Sadan, specializing in Bengali poetry readings, dance and drama and Sisir Mancha, which hosts mainly Bengali musical evenings.

The West Bengal Tourism Center runs a full-day sightseeing tour of the city which visits major tourist attractions and runs boat cruises if there is enough demand. Trips beyond Kolkata can also be arranged with advance notice.
