Passport valid for at least three months beyond length of stay required by all nationals referred to in the chart above except:
(a) 1. EU nationals holding a valid national ID card.
Note: EU nationals are only required to produce evidence of their EU nationality and identity in order to be admitted to any EU Member State. This evidence can take the form of a valid national passport or national identity card. Either is acceptable. Possession of a return ticket, any length of validity on their document, sufficient funds for the length of their proposed visit should not be imposed.
Passport Notes
Slovenia joined the Schengen Agreement on 21 December 2007 for overland entry points and seaports, and on 29 March 2008 for airports. All non-EU travelers must register with a police station within 3 days of arrival, this is usually done automatically if you are staying in a hotel.
Visas
Not required by all nationals referred to in the chart above for stays of up to three months.

Travel Warnings
Slovenia has a 'Vignette' system for motorway travel. Vignettes are available for weekly, monthly or yearly periods, and can be purchased at petrol stations and DARS (the Slovenian Motorway Company) offices in Slovenia as well as outlets in neighboring countries near the Slovene border. The Vignette is compulsory for vehicles under 3.5 tons in weight. Failure to have or display a Vignette will lead to an on-the-spot fine of up to €800.
Most visits to Slovenia are trouble-free but you should be aware of the global risk of indiscriminate international terrorist attacks, which could be against civilian targets, including places frequented by foreigners.
