Passport Notes
Lithuania joined the Schengen Agreement on 21 December 2007 for overland entry points and seaports, and on 29 March 2008 for airports.
Visas
Not required by all nationals listed in the chart above for tourist stays of up to 90 days.

Travel Warnings
Most visits to Lithuania are trouble-free but you should be aware of the global risk of indiscriminate international terrorist attacks, which could be against civilian targets, including places frequented by foreigners.
There has been an increase in petty crime, including pickpocketing in bars and restaurants.
Holders of British Citizen passports do not require visas to enter Lithuania. You need a passport or a National Identity Card to enter Lithuania.
Road traffic accidents are common. Extra care must be taken at all times when driving, particularly when driving at night.
Travelers to forested areas should seek medical advice about inoculations against rabies and tick-borne encephalitis.

Health Care
If suddenly taken ill or involved in an accident during a visit to Lithuania, free or reduced-cost necessary treatment is available for European travelers - in most cases on production of a valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). Comprehensive insurance is advised for all other nationals.
