The main shopping streets are Via Banchi di Sopra, especially good for clothes shops, and Via di Citta, which has souvenir and food shops.

A shop that sells traditional hand-made items like jumpers and hats is Tessuti a Mano, Via San Pietro. There are many workshops, where artisans produce high-quality crafts. These include Ceramiche di Santa Caterina, Via di Citta 74-76, for ceramics and Vetrate Artistiche, Via della Galluzza for stained glass. A good selection of Tuscan food and wine can be found at Drogheria Manganelli, Via di Citta 71-73, a former pharmacy that still has the original wooden fittings.
