Skagen Festival
July 1, 2010 - July 31, 2010
This well-attended music festival has a strong folk tradition and attracts an older crowd than your typical music festival. Nonetheless, they can party with the best of them and this is a great event to experience traditional folk bands from around the world. The festival is hosted at four venues - two of which are at the festival campsite which tends to host the bigger name bands. The other two venues are a short drive away and tend to provide a stage for the lesser-known performers and many of these concerts are free of charge.
Horsens European Medieval Festival
August 28, 2010 - August 29, 2010
Held on the last Friday and Saturday in August, this historical festival goes back in time to explore medieval Europe through a series of talks, exhibitions and dramatic re-enactions. The entire town enters into the spirit of the event as the town center is turned into a large medieval market. As well as the handicrafts and traditional wares on sale, there is a program of activities and entertainment for all the family with traditional displays and events including falconry, jousting and a medieval wedding ceremony.
Football Festival Denmark
September 1, 2010 - September 30, 2010
Both male and female youth football teams from around the world travel to Denmark to compete in this fun football tournament. A number of competitions run simultaneously with seven- and 11-a-side teams in age categories ranging from eight to 19. Abiding by the motto ‘Lets Play Together’, the festival is a great international event that features some of the best youth teams from around the world. After the games, cultural exchange events and entertainment takes place each evening.
Copenhagen Blues Festival
September 29, 2010 - October 3, 2010
This popular five-day festival is hosted in a number of different venues in and around Copenhagen and brings some great blues bands to the city. The festival features a mix of local, national and international talent and promises a fun-filled program of entertainment.
