Passport valid for at least six months after arrival with two blanks pages required by all nationals referred to in the chart above.
Visas
Required by all nationals referred to in the chart above, except transit passengers continuing their journey by the same or first connecting aircraft within 24 hours, provided holding onward or return documentation and not leaving the airport. The following nationals DO NOT require a visa
for stays up to 90 days to nationals of: Antigua & Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Brazil, Chile, Dominica, Gambia, Guyana, Hong Kong (SAR passport), Israel, Jamaica, Japan, Korea (South), Netherlands Antilles, Philippines, Singapore, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & Grenadines, Trinidad & Tobago.
 For stays up to 30 days to nationals of Malaysia.

Visa Note
Anyone staying longer than 30 days in Suriname should register with the Aliens Police.This service is located in the building containing the Ministry of Public Works.
Types of Visa and Cost
Single-entry Tourist: $45(two months). Multiple-entry Tourist: $90(three to four months), $135 (six months); $210 (12 months). Businessmultiple-entry, $60 (six months); $360 (24 months).

Travel Warnings
Most visits to Surinam are trouble-free but you should be aware of the global risk of indiscriminate international terrorist attacks, which could be against civilian targets, including places frequented by foreigners.
Burglary, armed robbery and violent crime occur with some frequency in Paramaribo and in outlying areas.

Health Care
Health insurance is strongly recommended. Medical care is limited: there is only one emergency room in Paramaribo and there are few hospitals in outlying areas.
