Visas

Not required by all nationals referred to in the chart above for tourist stays of up to three months providing they hold a return ticket.

Travel Warnings

Most visits to French Guiana are trouble-free but you should be aware of the global risk of indiscriminate international terrorist attacks, which could be against civilian targets, including places frequented by foreigners.

Please note that travelers must produce a yellow fever certificate on arrival.

The rainy season in French Guiana, during which tropical storms may occur, takes place between December and July.

Health Care

There are medical facilities in Cayenne, Kourou and St Laurent du Maroni but very few elsewhere. Medical insurance is advisable.
