- Terminal Transfer
- A free shuttle service connects the long-term car park and all the terminals. However, the terminals are all within walking distance of one another. The international terminals are Terminals B, C and 5 with Terminal 5 mainly catering to flights from America. Terminal A is used for domestic Italian flights and is slightly further away from the other terminals. All terminals use the upper levels for departures while arrivals is on the lower level.
- Ground Transport
- The fastest transportation is an express train departing from just the airport station (across the road from terminal C, follow the signs to the Hilton Hotel) every hour for Termini Station in the center of Rome or the Sabina-Fiumicino line (FM1) which leaves every 15 minutes; the trip to Termini takes 30 minutes and the fare is around EUR11 while the FM1 is EUR5.5 to various destination outside the city center. Terravision and Schiaffini shuttle services run busses between the airport and the city center, costing EUR9 and EUR8 respectively. There are a number of other bus companies operating between the airport and the city's major hotels and stations. A late night bus service is available to Tiburtina Station and can be arranged from near the arrivals terminal. A taxi service costs about EUR50 for the 40 to 60 minute drive to the city center and passengers should use metered taxis only. Airport Shuttle runs a door to door service between the airport and the city center as well as the cruise ship port, costing EUR25 per person.

- Airport Taxis
- Only use authorized taxis (white cars with meters), they can usually be found in the arrivals areas. The journey to central Rome will take 40 to 60 minutes and the fare is approximately EUR60 with a surcharge for public holidays and Sundays or late at night. Some taxis will charge extra for luggage as well.

- Buses travel between the airport and the Anagnina metro station, as well as to the local train station, from where metros or trains connect to the city center. Terravision offers a direct service from the airport to Termini central station, as does the less regular Schiaffini service. There is also a bus shuttle service. Taxis are available for the 40 minute ride costing EUR40 which is the quickest and easiest way to get to the city center although rush hour traffic should be avoided. Only metered and official taxis should be used.
