Day 1: Arrive Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaArrive Kuala Lumpur International airport. After clearing customs and immigration, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in, a tour briefing and overnight. Nestled amidst lush gardens in the heart of the city, the newly renovated Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur sits just 45 minutes from the international airport and just moments from key business and shopping areas. The Shangri-La also offers an outstanding choice of cosmopolitan cuisines from its award-winning restaurants.
All guest rooms and suites are equipped with an impressive list of amenities. Each room offers central air-conditioning with in-room controls, a flat-screen color television, and all the deluxe in-room and bathroom accoutrements that guests expect from a five-star luxury hotel. At 20:00hrs meet in the hotel lobby where you will be picked up for dinner at a local restaurant, including a traditional folklore show.

Shangri-La Hotel- Deluxe Room Day 2: Kuala Lumpur
After breakfast, meet in the hotel lobby at 09.00hrs for a half-day city tour. (Note: Visitors are asked to wear modest clothing and to remove their shoes when entering the mosques. Modest outerwear is available for rent outside the mosque.) Proceed to visit Independence Square (photo stop), Sultan Abdul Samad Building (The iconic Sultan Abdul Samad building is located in front of Independence Square and Royal Selangor Club, which was completed in 1897 - this historical building houses the Supreme and High Courts. The building with unique Moorish designs and clock tower is widely photographed by visitors to the city center), National Mosque (one of Southeast Asia's largest mosques, its unique modern design embodies a contemporary expression of traditional Islamic art, calligraphy and ornamentation), view the architecturally fabulous old railway station built with in distinct Moorish style situated next to the National Mosque, pass by the Lake Gardens and National Monument (photo stop). Continuing on to visit Masjid Jamek (the oldest mosque in the city, built in 1909. The mosque sits at the meeting point of the Klang and Gombak rivers, which is also the birthplace of Kuala Lumpur. Its architecture inspired by Mogul influences of northern India). Proceed to visit National Palace (the official residence of the King and Queen of Malaysia. Built by local millionaire, Chan Wing in 1928, as his official residence it was later used by the Japanese as their offices during the Japanese occupation in Malaya (1942-1945). On the achievement of the country's Independence from the British in 1957, the newly elected Federal Government transformed the stately mansion into a residence fit for the King (the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong).
Proceed to Menara Kuala Lumpur (Kuala Lumpur Tower) to view the Kuala Lumpur skyline from 276m above ground level (experience this vibrant metropolitan city from the observation deck with an audio tour) and enjoy the cultural performances at the amphitheater of this tower.
Your city tour ends with a visit to the Petronas Twin Towers, once regarded as the tallest building in the world.
Return to hotel. Balance of day at leisure.

Shangri-La Hotel- Deluxe Room Day 3: Kuala Lumpur- Langkawi Island
After breakfast depart for Langkawi Island via a 35-minute domestic flight. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check in. This luxurious resort is set amidst a Malaysian tropical restaurants, serving Thai, Malaysian and western cuisines plus al fresco dining at The Beach Club. In addition to the adjacent 18-hole Datai Bay Golf Course, the resort facilities include the Mandara Spa, two swimming pools and a fully equipped health club. This afternoon depart on a half-day Kuah City tour. Your visit will include: Eagle Square, one of the island’s most prominent landmarks. Standing at 52-feet tall and perched majestically in an open and breezy square, facing the sea, it is an eye-catching attraction for visitors who disembark from Kuah jetty. It is also reputed to be one of the biggest of such landmarks in the world. Underwater World, houses more than 5,000 species of marine life. You will see sharks swim just inches away as you walk through the gigantic Tunnel Tank. Children will love the Koi Fish Pond and Touch Pool that allows them to feel starfish, sea cucumbers and various species of fish. Other attractions are the Arctic Penguins, seals, a gigantic Anaconda and a 4D-theater. Langkawi Cable Car is a new attraction in Langkawi where you will ride to the top of a hill where one can view the Thai islands of Tarutao, Ko Adang and Ko Lipeh.

The Datai Langkawi- Deluxe Room Day 4: Langkawi Island
After breakfast, choose one of the following options to fill your day and experience the island: Option #1 - Langkawi Island Hopping Tour- Dayang Bunting Island/Pregnant Maiden Lake and Wet Rice Island or Pulau Beras Basah &Chenang Beach. The Island of Dayang Bunting/Pregnant Maiden Lake is the second largest island within the Langkawi archipelago and is contained within the largest fresh water lake in Malaysia. Pregnant Maiden Lake is separated from the sea by a very thin ridge of limestone. Legend claims that the lake bestows fertility upon barren women. Still, a dip in its cool waters or observing the spectacular view after climbing the rise is sure to invigorate and refresh you. Wet Rice Island or Pulau Beras Basah: The crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches of this island make it ideal for swimming, sunbathing and relaxation. Optional sea sport activities are available like parasailing and banana boats at your own expense. Option #2 - .Langkawi Pulau Payar Marine Park Excursion The Pulau Payar Marine Park is situated in the northern part of the Straits of Melaka, 19 nautical miles south of Langkawi and encompasses the islands of Pulau Payar, Pulau Lembu, Pulau Segantang and Pulau Kaca which are surrounded by coral reefs. The marine park teems with a fascinating diversity of marine life and vegetation. Many endangered species of fishes and marine organisms live within the sanctuary. Measuring 2km long and 1/4 km wide, Pulau Payar is the most popular of the islands as its sheltered waters are ideal are for snorkeling, diving (at own cost) and swimming. Among the enchanting dive spots is the "Coral Garden", an area covered with bright, multi-hued soft corals.
There are several sandy beaches on Pulau Payar island for picnics as well as hiking trails for those who wish to explore the island. Just off the beach, one can indulge in the thrilling experience of feeding baby sharks. The Visitors' Center provides information about the marine park.
It takes about 45 – 60 minutes to get to Pulau Payar by boat. Option # 3- Mangrove River Safari Tour Explore the amazing mangrove forest by boat, with an introduction to the limestone forests on the slopes of stunning outcrops northeast of Langkawi. Travel by boat on the Kilim River through the maze created by aerial roots and thick fleshy leaves of the mangrove trees. Wildlife is abundant- we will observe the bizarre land-walking fish, vividly colored kingfishers, eagles and often otters and dolphins. Enjoy some fun time at a jungle stream for a picnic lunch and a swim.

The Datai Langkawi- Deluxe Room Day 5: Langkawi Island- Kuala Lumpur
After breakfast, free time before transfer to Langkawi International Airport. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to hotel in Kuala Lumpur for check in. This afternoon depart on a half-day tour to visit the National Craft Center. This complex was built to educate, market and promote the various crafts of Malaysia, such as batiks and ceramics. You will also visit the Selangor Royal Pewter factory where you will see the fine art of pewter crafting.

Shangri-La Hotel- Deluxe Room Day 6: Kuala Lumpur- Malacca
After breakfast, depart for the historical city of Malacca. This tour offers insights into Malacca’s rich history and how its cultural heritage evolved over a period of more than 600 years. The tour includes visit to The Dutch Square located in the city center that is comprised of The Stadthuys, Tan Beng Swee Clock Tower, Queen Victoria Fountain and the famous Christ Church. Proceed to see the long houses of Heeren Street and the antique shops at Jonker Street. Visit the Baba Nyonya Heritage Museum. Visit Harmony Street of Malacca where you can find three different houses of worship situated right next to each other; Cheng Hoon Teng Temple (the oldest Chinese Temple in Malacca), Kampong Kling Mosque and the Sri Vinayagar Temple.
Your tour continue to the St. Paul’s Hill Complex to view the Independence Memorial, Porta de Santiago, commonly known as "A Famosa", the ruins of St. Paul’s Church where Malacca's Saint Francis Xavier was once buried and the replica of the Palace of Malacca Sultanate. Visit the Portuguese Settlement (where the Portuguese descendents live in Malacca and still speak the ancient language of Cristao). Take your time to buy some souvenirs. The Malacca Cultural Heritage Tour provides a glimpse of the different lifestyles and cultural & heritage aspects of the various intriguing ethnic groups in Malacca termed as the “Peranakans”, these multi ethnic groups and cultures consist of the Malays, Babas & Nyonyas, Portuguese Eurasians and the Chittys. Experience the harmonious life of these multi ethic, multi languages and multicultural groups. Tonight consider an Optional Program, the Light & Sound Show at Malacca Warrior Square. This show is the first of its kind in South-East Asia. This show projects important events in Malaccan history by using lights, dialogue, narration and music. Special sound effects are also included to ensure that the show is entertaining in addition to being educational.

After breakfast depart for Kuala Lumpur and along the way visit Putrajaya. Putrajaya, just outside the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur, was designed as a model city, displaying the best of Malaysian design and architecture in an environmentally-friendly setting of beautifully landscaped lakes and parks. Putrajaya encompasses the dual concept of intelligent city and garden city. In keeping with this, 38% of the land area is devoted to parks, lakes and wetlands which provide interesting getaways and an opportunity to learn about the country's diversified tropical flora and fauna. Upon arrival in Kuala Lumpur transfer to the hotel for check in. The remainder of day at leisure.
