    Getting There by Air
    Air Canada (AC) (website: www.aircanada.com) is the national airline, which operates daily flights from Toronto to Charlottetown. Air Canada Jazz (QK) (website: www.flyjazz.ca) has direct, year-round flights from Nova Scotia, Toronto and Montreal.  Westjet (WS) (website: www.westjet.com) also has direct
    flights from Toronto and Northwest Airlines has seasonal flights from Detroit.

    Main Airports
    Charlottetown (YYG) (website: www.flypei.com) airport is 3km (2 miles) from the city (journey time - 10 minutes). To/from the airport: Taxis and car hire are available. 

    Getting There by Water
    Northumberland Ferries (tel: 1 888 249 7245, in Canada and the USA; website: www.nfl-bay.com) sail from Wood Islands on the southeast coast to Caribou in Nova Scotia from May to mid December (journey time - 1 hour and 15 minutes). Advance reservations are not accepted. CTMA Ferry (tel: 1 888 986 3278; website: www.ctma.ca) sails to Souris on the east coast from the Magdalen Islands in Québec from early April to the end of January (journey time - 5 hours). Advance reservations are recommended from mid-June to early September.

    Getting There by Rail
    There are no passenger services on the island.

    Getting There by Road
    The Confederation Bridge connects Borden-Carleton, Prince Edward Island with Cape Jourimain, New Brunswick. The 13km (8-mile) bridge takes approximately 10 to 12 minutes to cross and is open 24 hours a day. A toll is payable on return over the bridge only (tel: 1 888 437 6565, in Canada and the USA; website: www.confederationbridge.com). There are three scenic drives following the coast of the Island: Lady Slipper Drive (west), Blue Heron Drive (central) and King’s Byway (east). Seatbelts for adults and children are mandatory.
