Originally built in 1915 as a summer beach home for the Arnot family, the Fig Tree Inn is a lovely old cedar shake shingle cottage in the traditional Southern beach style. In 1997, an extensive but extremely careful remodeling project was begun. The original wooden floors walls and ceilings were refurbished in beautiful and serene colors. Central air conditioning, new plumbing, and a modern kitchen were installed with as much care taken to retain the homes unique flavor. The result is a charming Bed and Breakfast with six bedrooms, each with a private bath. A lovely living-dining room and a wonderful porch where you may enjoy breakfast. We will make your stay at the Fig Tree Inn a memorable experience. The Fig Tree Inn is a two-storied house that has two bedrooms on the first story and four bedrooms on the second housed with many antique furnishings. The second story has a large deck with a view of the ocean. The first story porch with many comfortable chairs for lounging. Each porch has a swing that can seat a couple. A stroll away from the beach 1 2 block away , restaurants, and antique shops galore. The Fig Tree is within walking distance of music and beach festivals and outdoor movies. Check-in is at 4 00 PM. Guests planning to arrive before or after this time must contact the property at least 48 hours prior to arrival to receive special check-in instructions.
