The Hotel dates back to 1800 when it was a boarding house for the shipbuilders during the great whaling days. During its glorious history the hotel has undergone many renovations and enhancements but one thing has remained constant The magnificent location. During our most recent enhancement programs the winter of 2006 to 2007 we focused on in room amenities and the special touches to make our guests comfortable.
