Linden Point House was a hotel at the turn of the century and then a private home for decades. It is located on a private point, over looking the Thimble Islands, with 700 feet or water frontage on Long Island Sound with snall sandy beach. This special point, with gazebo, hammocks, jetties all around and beautiful old trees, allows for total relaxation.Continental breakfast is served on the patio as you watch kayakers and sailboats go by. A ten minute walk into town, brings you to shops, a restaurant and the town beach. Complimentary tea and wine will be served early evening on the gazebo and you are invited to linger for spectacular sunsets. The trees are lit at night the water laps gently---adding to the magical ambiance.There is fine local dining in Branford, Guilford and Madison...or you may opt to take the short drive to New Haven for Yale, restaurants or theater.New England Magazine 2007 Annual best of States says Sea-worn hammocks overlook breathtaking water views at the Linden Point House. Theres lots to do here--biking, beaching--but chances are youll be content to while away your days reading and napping and watching the sailboats cruise by. Check-in is at 3 00 PM. Guests planning to arrive before or after this time must contact the property at least 48 hours prior to arrival to receive special check-in instructions.
