The Historic Hermosa Hotel has been serving guests of the island as far back as 1896 and as was the style then our rooms are small and simple. We continue to offer clean rooms at Avalons best prices allowing people who budget carefully to enjoy all the fun that Catalina Island has to offer. Please note that our historic property does not have an elevator and most of our rooms have some number of stairs to climb. The Hermosa Hotel property has two main areas the Catalina Cottages which include our family units and the historic hotel building both areas and room type are explained below.

The new design takes advantage of the huge garden courtyard area by creating semi-private lanais or outdoor living areas for most of the ground level rooms.
