Pay a visit to the ancient cathedral city of Canterbury just up the A2, the fascinating Battle of Britain Museum in Hawkinge or take a ride across the Romney Marsh on the one-third-scale Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Light Railway. Europe is easily accessible via the Channel Tunnel and ferry. Both Folkestone and Dover are major channel ports and day trips to the Continent are extremely popular.
