Location Description

In the baroque city centre of the provincial capital Potsdam, visitors can discover the Brandenburg gate. In the 1733s under the Soldier King Friedrich Wilhelm I. the Gate was constructed and was ablated by Friedrich the Great after the war as a sign of victory. In his stead a new monumental building arose, which role modelled the Constantine Arcade in Rome, now the present Brandenburg Gate.
