Designhotel ÜberFluss is a member of Design Hotels. The ÜberFluss stands on historic ground: during its construction the hitherto oldest part of Bremen`s city wall was discovered, along with bank reinforcements and relics of four masonry chambers from 1184 A.D.. Other finds such as dishes, coins and combs point to the rich past of this place. Only affluent merchants lived in stone houses at that time. The city found itself in a phase of quick expansion and made increasing use of the actual river bed as a building site. So strictly speaking, the Hotel today is located right above the river. The hotel`s architecture adopts some historical influences, combining them with a contemporary life style. In the relaxation room of the spa, for example, the medieval city wall provides inner peace and new vitality. ÜberFluss - its architecture creates harmony and contrasts, translating the style of neighbouring historic patricians` houses into sophisticated simplicity. In tune with the times, it demonstrates its clear will to help shape the future. "Concrete Architectural Associates" of Amsterdam have designed the interiors. The international team combines warm elegance with signature furnitures by Charles Eames and Tom Dixon to create an overall sense of sensuality.

The Designhotel ÜberFluss is centrally located in a street parallel to the Weser embankment. The main shopping area, the historical market place, famous "Böttcherstraße" and "Schnoorviertel" are all just a few minutes walk away.
