Prague Motor Inn is a family operated Inn which started in 1956 by the Lejcek family. We cater to individuals, families and small groups and are located directly in the village of Lake Placid on Route 73 just over half a mile form the Olympic arena and speed skating oval. Most Olympic venues and other popular attractions are only minutes away. We are situated on 2 1/2 acres of land bordering on the Chubb River on one side and Route 73. Our landscape features mostly lawns, trees, & flower gardens, a dam across the Chubb River forms a beautiful pond, which gives you a feeling of being in the country and yet we are only a minute from the Main Street. Most of our units are back from the highway and along with our pool area offer a beautiful view of the Chubb River and the Sentinel Mountain Range. During the warmer months we offer a picnic area with BBQ fire pit, which includes firewood for cookouts or just to sit around and relax and enjoy a fire outside under the White Pines. We offer comfortable up to date, quite rooms, cottages and spacious suites some with stone, wood burning fireplaces, Jacuzzi tubs, balconies and kitchenettes. We provide all linens, chambermaid service, firewood and our kitchenettes are fully furnished with refrigerators /freezers, electric ranges and ovens, microwave ovens, dinnerware, cookware, silverware, coffeemakers & toasters. All units are fully air-conditioned, have color cable TV, phones, alarm clocks, fridge/microwaves & self-control electric heat and we are pet friendly and our large open grounds offer ample space to exercise your pet. Our only restriction is that pets not be left unattended in the rooms.

    If you are coming in from the Boston area head West on the Massachusetts Turnpike, I-90 to Albany where you pick up I-87 North to Exit 30. At this point you are 45 minutes Lake Placid. Follow Route 9 to Route 73. We are half a mile past the Econo Lodge on the right, look for the Victorian Style house. Drive time from Boston is about 5 hours. From Points South: New York City, New Jersey, Penn. Take the Northway I-87 to Exit 30. When approaching Albany look for direction signs for Montreal I-87 North Albany is about 2 hours from Lake Placid Exit 30 off I-87 takes your to Route 9 and follow this to Route 73 to Lake Placid. We are a mile past the Econo Lodge on the right Look for the Victorian style house & office. Drive time from NYC is about 5 hours. Try the Taconic State Parkway as an alternative route between NYC and Albany. No truck traffic allowed. From points North: Montreal Travel south on Route 15, which becomes I-87 to Exit 34. Take Route 9N to Route 86 directly into Lake Placid. At the first traffic light turn left on Route 73 and go down the hill. We will be on the left hand side of the road less than a mile from the light. From Ottawa, Canada Take routes south to Cornwall Bridge. Get on Route 37 East to Malone than Route 30 South to Paul Smiths to Route 86 to Saranac Lake and on to Lake Placid. Drive down to the third traffic light in the village and turn right on to Route 73 go down the hill and we are located on the left side of the road less than a mile from this intersection. Drive time should be about 3 hours. From Toronto, Canada Take Route 401 East Cornwall Bridge and follow same instructions as From Ottawa. Drive time is about 5 hours.
