· From: the North. Take Highway A1 (from Hamburg) until intersection Dortmund/Unna, continue on Highway A44 direction Dortmund. Once in Dortmund, Highway A44 changes to B1 and later to Westenfalendamm. · From: the East. Take Highway A44 (from Kassel) until Dortmund, then same as above. · From: the South. Take Highway A45 (from Frankfurt), after the "Westhofener Kreuz", take the exit Dortmund Süd and continue on B54 direction Dortmund. Then change from B54 to B1 direction Unna. Before the city border you will see on the other side a white building which is the hotel. Continue until the second traffic light, turn there and drive back to the Best Western Parkhotel Wittekindshof. · From: the West. In contrast, the quiet academic surroundings of historic university cities like Heidelberg, convey a peacefulness quite at odds with the atmosphere of the capital.
Geography The Federal Republic of Germany shares frontiers with Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Poland and Switzerland. The northwest of the country has a coastline on the North Sea with islands known for their health resorts, while the Baltic coastline in the northeast stretches from the Danish to the Polish border.
The country is divided into 16 states (Bundesländer), including the formerly divided city of Berlin.
