Thanks in large part to Big Oil, the city’s modern trademarks—gigantic office towers and flashy style—compete neck-and-neck with traditional favorites like Tex-Mex cuisine and a larger-than-life party scene. Meanwhile, if you’re looking for cowboys (and we don’t mean America’s favorite football team), you’ll have to head to nearby Fort Worth, which started out as a Texas frontier town and cattle market. |
