| Even with its new, upscale Borgata casino, Atlantic City will never touch Las Vegas. But despite A.C.’s tacky, rough reputation (away from the casinos, these are mean streets), residents of Philadelphia and Manhattan still arrive here at the Jersey Shore by the busload, ready to try their luck on craps, slots, and more. If gambling isn’t doing the trick, visitors can wander along the boardwalk (America’s first) or head south to the beaches of Avalon or Cape May. |
