Tour Overview
This is our ultimate South Western Africa expedition encompassing the wildlife, culture and scenery of this fascinating region. Highlights include game drives, the world's highest sand dunes, bush walking in the Kalahari, wilderness camping, canoeing in the Okavango Delta and visiting the mighty Victoria Falls.

Day 1 Arrive Cape Town
Arrive in Cape Town at any time.

Day 2 Cederberg (B,L,D)
Travel to the Cederberg area which is a massive rocky wilderness where giant sandstone boulders have been sculpted by wind and rain into bizarre and artistic shapes.

Day 3 Gariep River (B,L,D)
Travel into the more arid regions and, entering Namibia, camp at the Gariep (Orange) River.

Day 4 Fish River Canyon (B,L,D)
Journey to Fish River Canyon, the largest canyon in Africa. In the afternoon, watch as a spectacular sunset slips over the canyon's rim.

Day 5-6 Namib Desert (2B,2L,2D)
Towering red sand dunes of Sossusvlei form the gateway into the Namib Desert. Explore Sesriem Canyon and watch dramatic sunsets over the world's highest sand dunes.

Day 7-8 Swakopmund (2B,1L)
Lunar landscapes and the prehistoric Welwitchia plants surround the coastal town of Swakopmund. Explore the town or try optional quad biking/dune boarding.

Day 9 Damaraland (B,L,D)
Move north into the stony desert landscapes and set up camp near Twyfelfontein. In the afternoon, explore the area which is adorned with rock engravings and petrified fossil forests.

Day 10-11 Etosha National Park (2B,2L,2D)
Etosha National Park, "the great white place of dry water", in the game-rich northwest corner of Namibia, offers a variety of wildlife. Take game drives around the huge dry pan to find the elephants, herds of antelope and lions around the waterholes.

Day 12 Windhoek (B,L)
Leave Etosha National Park and head south to the capital of Namibia. Tonight, meet new people joining the next part of this tour.

Day 13 Kalahari (B,L,D)
Cross into Botswana and overnight in the heart of the Kalahari. Take a walk with a local San Bushman to learn fascinating bush skills.

Day 14 Maun (B,L,D)
Camp in Maun for a night in preparation before journeying deep into the Okavango Delta on mokoro (dugouts).

Day 15-16 Okavango Delta (2B,2L,2D)
The Okavango Delta excursion is an experience not to be missed. Wild camp on remote islands for two nights and enjoy game walks, swimming, birdlife and game viewing in this pristine wilderness area.

Day 17 Gweta (B,L,D)
Leave the Delta behind and continue to Gweta to set up camp under ancient Baobab trees.

Day 18 Chobe National Park (B,L,D)
Chobe National Park has Botswana's most varied wildlife, including lions and elephants.

Day 19-20 Touring Victoria Falls from Livingstone, Zambia (2B)
Tour Victoria Falls, a natural wonder of the world, plunging into the Zambezi Gorge. Try whitewater rafting on the mighty Zambezi or, for the adventurous, an optional 111m bungee jump.
