Each year the town of Tepic celebrates the Fiesta of San Pedro - the patron saint of rain, agriculture and livestock. The event is an important part of this rural community’s life and is a time when local farmers bring their decorated mules and livestock to town to be blessed and to pray for a good farming season. As part of the celebrations there is also a commercial fair.
