This popular month-long Seychelles festival showcases artists from across all of the Seychelles islands in a celebration of Creole and African culture. The festival is held in venues across the Seychelles but the main event is opened in Victoria at the National Cultural Center. Visitors wishing for a taste of the artistic scene in the Seychelles should not miss this event. Many of the artists draw inspiration from the Creole culture of the islands and this is evident in a lot of the artworks on display at the festival. In recent years the festival has been attracting a number of international participants from Mauritius and South Africa among other places. Song, dance and theater performances are celebrated as part of the festivities on show.
