7/01/2009 - 7/31/2009Cardiff International Food & Drink Festival
Cardiff,
United Kingdom
Part of the summer-long Cardiff Festival, the Cardiff International Food & Drink Festival takes place on the Welsh Capital's rejuvenated waterfront, Cardiff Bay. Culinary delights from around the world attract gourmands and nibblers alike, with tempting and varied fare. Lavabread, a local speciality of a slimy consistency that's derived from a type of seaweed, is usually on sale. There are other Welsh specialities too, as well as exhibitors from countries such as France, Germany, Norway, Italy, Spain and South Africa. Each brings a different flavour to the table and, to help things go with a swing, there is a full programme of performance and musical entertainment.
