The Perfume Pagoda is a series of expansive caves located in the Ha Tay province, set in beautiful rural area of Vietnam. Beginning on the sixth day of the first lunar month, the annual Perfume Pagoda Festival is a bright and lively event that attracts both locals and tourists. Celebrations during the festival include traditional dragon dances, religious ceremonies and prayer meetings.

Getting there:
Road: To Ha Dong and on to Van Dinh. At the Te Tieu marking point, turn right and continue to Duc Wharf. From here, take a boat along the Yen stream for about 3km (1.8 miles) to Tro Wharf, from where the Huong Son Tourist Area is accessible. It is a good climb up to the Perfume Pagoda.
